    • Booking Policy

  • For houseboat bookings for 21hrs, check in time is 12.00 Noon and check out time is next day morning 9.00 AM. Any delay in check in will not be compensated for check out time.
  • All food at houseboat will be of fixed menu, inclusive of all applicable taxes.
  • A/C will be working only between 9.00 PM to 6.00AM for Budget Class and Deluxe Class.
  • Houseboat will be anchored from 5.30 PM to next day morning 8.00 AM due to government ban on using the boat during this time.
  • Guests must make sure about all their belongings before disembarkation as further claims will not be entertained.
  • If the AC breaks down due to unexpected technical snag, stay in same boat continues on non AC terms and the client is eligible for reimbursement of maximum Rs 1000.
  • Self-cooking is prohibited and therefore guests will have no access to Kitchen. Custom food can be arranged at an extra cost and should be settled directly to the boat crew before disembarkation.
  • Soft drinks and meek beverages can be ordered at an additional cost as per tariff on spot.
  • Unruly behaviour and mannerisms from guests will not be tolerated and the matter will be reported to the concerned authorities immediately.
  • Any damage caused to houseboat due to carelessness of the guests, their children or wards must be compensated by guests themselves to the houseboat owner before disembarkation.
  • As a safety measure, guests must strictly adhere to the instructions of crew members while check-in, check-out, cruising, anchoring and docking of boat.
  • Children’s responsibilities and safety wholly vested upon parents during their stay at boat.
  • Any unspecified, unanticipated direct or indirect expenses, must be settled by guests directly before disembarkation.
  • We do not take any responsibility for any loss, injury or damage to person or anything due to any incidents beyond our control.
  • We do not have any insurance policy and it is the traveller’s responsibility to make sure you have enough insurance coverage. All luggage & personal property’s are at the guests risk at all times.
  • As per Goverment regulations, Indian nationals required to provide a proof of identity in orginal for the primary guest in each room such as Driving license, Voter’s ID, Adhar card or passport at the check in time.
  • All foreign nationals are required to produce their orginal passports and visa, and those working in India, residential permits as well, at the time of check in.
  • All disputes will be subject to jurisdiction of Cochin courts only.

    • Clild Policy

  • Below 0-5 Years(Kids): For Single child below 6 year old, complimentary stay & food with parents. Only one child will be permitted per room.
  • Above 6-11 Years(Child): For child above 6 year old and below 12 year old, additional extra charge(Rs 500-Rs 1000) applicable and this child has to share bed space with parents.
  • Above 12 Years(Adult): All Children from the age of 12 years will be treated as adults, will be charged (Rs.1000-2000) with extra bed & all meals and taxes.

    • Cancellation Policy

  • If unexpected circumstances should arise and impact your holiday plans, we would be glad to assist you with the cancellation procedures and refund your money.
  • Cancellation charges up to 30 days from the date of Check in will be 10% of the total cost of package.
  • Cancellation charges up to 10 days from the date of Check in will be 25% of the total cost of package.
  • Cancellation between 09-07 days from the date of Check in will be 50% of the total cost of package.
  • Cancellation between 06 days from the Check in will No refund.
  • No refund on peak season between 20th December to 10th of January.
  • No refund for the cancellation done after the tour/service starts or partially used.

    • Refund Policy

  • In case of refund, bank charges and cancellation charges will be deducted from the advance.
  • All cancellations should be intimated through email: info@alleppeyhouseboats.com. Cancellation through the WhatsApp, Message and over the phone will not accept. And the refund policy will be effective from the date of receipt of this email.
  • All refunds will be processed within two weeks on receipt of E-mail.

    • Photo ID Policy

  • As per government directive, it is mandatory for all guests to show their valid Photo ID at the time of Check-in, which can be in the form of “Passport and Visa Copy, Driving License, PAN Card or Voter ID Card." In case of failure to produce the necessary proofs, the houseboat operator reserves the right of refusal.

    • Rights over Intellectual Property

  • “Alleppey Houseboats” logos and name used on the website are protected by international Trademark laws. As such, they are strictly the property of Alleppey Houseboats (Guruji Travels) and third parties are not allowed to use them until and unless getting an approval from the respective company.
  • Pictures, Photos, Graphic Charts, Texts and Data published on the website may not be altered/ transferred/reproduced without prior approval from Alleppey Houseboats. You may cite or refer to the information on this site and make copies of the information for your own non-commercial use.
